Families are the building blocks of the nation.
and the building blocks of families are definitly relationships..
and how does relationship begin for any person, well, thru Male-Female r/s for a start.
coz, like it or not, this r/s affects any individual from a very young age and its the kinda of r/s that we pay more attention to..
let me start by sharing a horror i heard today on radio...
Early this morning, on an english radio channel, the 2 djs were discussing the split abt Brad Pitt & Jennifer Pitts..thru many lame jokes, the male dj mention that maybe one reason tat the Marriage broke down was becoz mr pitt might have been naughty with a certain lady called anglie jolie. yes, I don't deny tat AJ is a very sexy woman. But he's kinda implying tat its alright for mr pitt to be unfaithful becoz who can or should resist someone like AJ. But c'on, is tat the right issue to talk abt in the first place, someone's marriage breaking apart becomes news to discuss and even speculate if the marriage broken down becoz the male might have been unfaithful. and worst of all, it is supposingly OKAY ?
No. I think we've to respect the basic insitution of marriage. A marriage broken apart shouldn't be news to discuss, the faithfulness level shouldn't need to polled.'Being unfaitful to marriage is WRONG!' not ok, even if the person is really 'hot'
The question begots then, why does one enter into marriage for, or even start a relationship?
Do you date someone becoz she looks hot? There's nothing wrong with dating someone tat's good-looking, for beauty comes from God too. But if tat's a focus,u're shallow.
Let me share my story..
When i was 8years old, our teacher made us do this silly assignment, it was titled," My dream girl/boy"
When i wrote that assignment, other than just school work, it really made an impact in my life. It was like a wish-list of sorts, but if u trust the Lord in it, then hey, believe that the Lord will know wat's best for u.
Anyway, I wrote things, like, must be intelligent, caring, have x-factor etc...
and the irony of life was, i took the list very seriously..and i actually prayed abt it..since 8years old!
and God bless me with someone tat went beyond the list.
and I'm learning to honour her.
Wat's my 2cents worth?
well, God is a strong supporter of the insitution of Marriage. Its scared. Infact the bible has so much written abt it. Read it and pray that u'll recieve Godly insight into marriage.
for us single, we can pray to be the right person for anyone God wills us to be with. And tat's only part 1...part2 is really learning how to honour the person God has placed in our lives.
