At the end of the day, where our treasure is, our heart will be isn't it?
Today's sermon consider the issue of investing our lives.
Yeah, the idea isn't radical, but its some important often to re-consider, how are we investing our lives.
Wat will leave behind....Becoz we came into the world with nothing, we will die with nothing..all things tangible will be left behind.
So is it clothes tat's keeping us interest, our shoes; watches...etc.. All these are great to have, to enjoy, for why do we 'toture' ourselves and save like mad, when even the money we have in the bank, we can't bring beyond our grave. Unless of course, a GOLD COFFIN, is a the way you want to go. But if u do, then grave diggers will have a field day looking for yours.
The intangible are so powerful, such as memories, relationships..But there is little 'warning' to it....the more you invest in it, the more likely, you will never recover wat's lost. Becoz...there's no replacement for the intangibles. You can't have a replacement for lost memories, neither a love one. Yes, there can be someone as a subsitute, but its never likely to be 100% of the old.
Is the old tat bad ?
A few days ago, I mention about the past. How we treat our past is like our we're going to affect our future. You can hid it and pray no-one uncovers the truth, your future will proably be some mystery becoz, no-one will ever marvel at wat u've achieved since, no one knew where u came from.
If you treat your past with contempt, then basically, you're so driven to have a future to plaster the past, you'll proably not enjoy the journey of your transformation, and like above, no-one can truly appreciate where u've grown from.
Lastly, there's the person who has accepted the truth of his/her past. It'll sting like crazy, but when all the sobing is done, and the person has gr0wn from the situation, we can all truly marvel at the work of the person's transformation, be it right or wrong. Therefore, I love to hear testmonies. Maybe one day, I'll have one to leave behind for my kids, loved ones.
Something that will show them, live is beyond...fun, pain and us.
A life journey is us, being touched by Jesus, and being continually changed by his love for us, and our love for him pouring forth to others.
